About the site

I put this site together with my very talented friends at cre8d design as a simple, yet quite powerful real-time view of news, blogs, tweets, videos, books and podcasts on the subjects of psychology and mental health.

It’s the kind of website to bookmark and visit regularly to see what is happening in the world of psychology.

Whether you are a mental health professional or an interested consumer, I think you’ll find at least one or two interesting links or stories every time you visit.

About the collator: Gareth Furber

I’m a psychologist by trade. I completed my clinical psychology PhD in 2006 in the area of psychological recovery following heart attack and now split my time between two workplaces.

I am the research manager in a small Child and Adolescent Mental Health Research Unit in South Australia. My role involves assisting clinicians and management to develop research programs around key CAMHS clinical and organizational issues.

I am also employed half-time at the Health Economics and Policy Group in the University of South Australia, where my focus is on exploring how we measure quality of life for families receiving child and adolescent mental health services.

Outside of those two roles, I am an internet and gadget freak and spend most of my time reading about or spending money on technology.

I run an online community called the Psychology and Health Forum which emphasizes the use of the web as a networking tool for psychologists in my local area. I also manage this site which is a constantly changing snapshot of psychology content on the web.
