About

PsychAntenna is an ever-growing showcase of psychology-related websites, blogs, podcasts and journals that utilize RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to broadcast their content. The goal is help clinicians, researchers and students in the field of Psychology utilize RSS more efficiently and locate the best resources to help them keep up-to-date in their respective areas of interest.

PsychAntenna is the work of Dr Gareth Furber (i.e., me!). You can find out more about me (in a professional sense) here. I got interested in RSS when I started reading lots of technology and web2.0 blogs in 2006. Over time, I became aware of just how many psychology websites were publishing RSS feeds and started collecting them over at Bloglines. In 2007, I launched PsychAntenna as a means of alerting professionals in my area to those psychology sites publishing RSS feeds. In 2008 the goal is to produce the definitive guide to psychology-related RSS feeds on the web.

For those who are newbies to RSS, I recommend you head over to the blog where I will be focusing on writing articles about this fascinating technology

For those who are familiar with RSS, I recommend browsing or searching the catalogue to find RSS feeds in your areas of interest.

For those who publish a website (with an RSS feed), I encourage you to submit it for inclusion in the PsychAntenna database.

For those who don’t really care about RSS……..uummmm perhaps you will be more interested in my sister site, PsychSplash! (shameless self promotion).
